2024 has been a transformative year for Clinnova, a cutting-edge precision health initiative. Focused on revolutionising healthcare through the digitalisation of medicine, Clinnova is creating a data-enabling environment for sharing and analyzing interoperable, high-quality health data. By improving patient care, accelerating biomedical research, and driving patient-oriented applications, this international project is paving the way for the future of precision medicine.
Here’s how 2024 marked an incredible year of progress in Basel, Switzerland:
🌟 Comprehensive Study Infrastructure finalized: A pivotal milestone, marking the completion of technical, regulatory, and clinical preparations.
🌟 Team Expansion: We welcomed Tanja Stoll, our dedicated study nurse, whose contributions have been instrumental to the project’s success.
🌟 First Patient In (FPI): The official launch of patient enrollment, bringing Clinnova-MS Basel to life and advancing our mission.
🌟 MS Info Day Success: Clinnova-MS Base stole the spotlight during the Multiple Sclerosis Info Day on December 7, 2024, where we could engage with MS patients.
Our success would not be possible without the endless dedication and continuous efforts of Dr Bebeka Cosandey (Lead Scientific Project Manager for Clinnova), Prof. Cristina Granziera (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Bram Stieltjes (Clinnova’s Federated Data Architecture Lead).
These milestones reflect the commitment and collaborative efforts of the Research Center for Clinical Neuroimmunology and Neuroscience Basel (RC2NB), University Hospital Basel, and University of Basel, made possible by CHF 4 million in funding from the Kanton Basel-Stadt. We are also deeply grateful for the personal support of the Rector of the University of Basel, Andrea Schenker-Wicki who continues to champion the Clinnova initiative.
As we look back on this incredible year, we extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who has made Clinnova-MS Basel possible.
